Culture at Bankwest

Definitely the most upbeat, enthusiastic and positive work place I have ever been involved with, with many events and programs in place for sharing, teamwork and fun

The culture as a whole is excellent. It varies depending on which division you are in

There are ample opportunities to socialise.  I find that people across teams are always willing to help. Bankwest has a strong values focused culture and reward system and also has a tremendous focus on diversity in the workplace

The office hours are consistent and flexible working is available to most colleagues.

·         I have found that management  sometimes do not make positive changes and the responsibility for fixing the problems raised in our culture surveys are often left to staff. The majority of people here are great people however and always helpful

Most people are great to work with. Of course there is a reasonable amount of people with negative energy, but it’s not too much of a problem. Outside of work the people I hang around with are great, but I guess that's why I choose to hang around them!

We have a strong community-driven culture. We nurture collaboration to make sure we make good decisions. There are a lot of after-hours activities as well to keep people engaged and committed to the brand

The workplace is very flexible and there’s a strong learning culture. Everybody is willing to help everybody else and there are no feelings  of hierarchy. Colleagues can comfortably speak to senior management regularly

Most people are quite friendly and people at different levels will freely socialise with each other all the time

The social life is excellent. There is a grad  community lunch almost every day with 5-10 people. We often have after-hours activities together such as board games and sports (squash, jogging) and the occasional get together on a Friday night
